Product DescriptionThis group established itself contains more than 250 papers and other documents in connection with four of the six hospitals in the medieval Bury. The core of the collection is the cartulary of the Hospital of St. John’s, the Domus Dei, but documents relating to hospitals of Saint-Nicolas, Saint-Pierre and Saint-Sauveur are also included. The documents focus on the equipment of hospitals by the abbot and the convent, but there are also regulations for the management of hospitals and the establishment, he chantry. The vast majority of texts are presented in a calendar full English, and there are English summaries of them printed in Latin. This is the first volume of the series in Bury St Edmunds Suffolk accent Charter, it is possibly followed by a distribution of property instruments abbey in the city.
