From the supplier: Health insurance associations recommend that employers certify employee benefits under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act’s portability provisions. The associations feel that insurance companies also should certify small groups and individuals under the act. Representatives of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Assn and the Health Insurance Assn of America gave testimony on their views about the portability act before the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee.
