In this episode, Elzam wraps up Episode 1. Another bug appears and Elzam decides to catch it alive to be studied later. This concludes Episode 1 of Ryusei’s Route. Beginning Episode 2, this game gives you one hell of a backstory, so I’ll let you read it for yourself. We then meet two friends, Ryusei Date and Kusuha Mizuha. Ryusei’s one HUGE mecha fanboy and otaku, having won the privilege to compete in the Burning PT nationals, a gaming tournament. Kusuha’s one of Ryusei’s best friends. She’s just a slightly reserved girl who enjoys Ryusei’s ramblings. Together, they go to see Ryusei’s mother, Yukiko Date, who’s being treated in a hospital. Ryusei decides that he wants to ignore college to find a job and raise money for his mother’s hospital bills, but Yukiko asks him to perish the thought.
