So you want socialized medicine? Think again! This is what you can expect if nationalized healthcare comes to America. That’s why we need to do what we can to resist socialism, preserve liberty, and keep America free from government intrusion into our lives. Miss Capewell, 23, said doctors at James Paget Hospital refused to see her son Jayden, who lived for almost two hours without any medical support. She said he was breathing unaided, had a strong heartbeat and was even moving his arms and legs, but medics refused to admit him to a special care baby unit. The baby died in it’s mothers arms on October 3, 2008. Miss Capewell is now fighting for a review of the medical guidelines. The same thing happened to me. Had several people block me, remove me from their friends list and unsubscribed me from their channel just because I disagreed with something they said! No profanity was used. I wasn’t rude, mean or disrespectful. But they blocked me, just because I disagreed!

So you are saying the public option will be like medicare and drive the insurance companies out of business? Hmm, I have to think about that one. Maybe they should be driven out of business. My health insurance is costing me $2,200 a month now. I would like an option because I don’t know how much longer I can afford that. I would like to see Health Care be a human, social service not a corporate profit machine. (Please don’t block me for having an opinion!!!)
What is so hard for you to understand about the fallacy of the “Option”
When your employer is taxed & you are taxed for your plan, then why would people stay on those plans?
Once a large percentage drop their private plans, rates will be driven up which will force everyone else to drop or be dropped.
Medicare started out as an option & now it has 97% of that market.
Everybody knows that Medicare is broke & when the Baby Boomers enroll, it will break Medicare’s back.

Obama took over the auto companies, the newspaper, corporations, and so many things I can’t remember them all….and now he wants to take over health care. Don’t you see what ‘s going on? Doesn’t this even sound remotely familiar to you? You don’t see any resemblance between this and what other communist/marxist dictators have done in their own country? This is what worries me. It’s a step towards more total government control and intrusion into, and over our lives.

sweettina, what Obama has presented is that you can have your choice of keeping your health insurance as it is, in place and the option would be for people that don’t have insurance or are not happy with what they have, ‘choices’. So if you like what you have you keep it.
I totally agree with you about the greedy insurance companies jefgain, but if you have to wait months to years for a life-saving procedure you may very well die waiting. Happens all the time with socialized medicine.

France’s health care is considered number one in the world and it is socialized and we are number 37 and the US is considered one of the richest countries. The US health care NOW is partially socialized!!

Obama in a interview did say babies that need costly life saving treatment shouldn’t be allowed to live. And that any elderly that needs life saving treatment shouldn’t get to save on the costly life saving treatments.

First of all, the US has socialized medicine already, VA, Medicaid and Medicare.
Insurance companies are corporate profit mongers which is much worse than any socialized medicine.
There would be a choice of using yo9ur own insurance or paying for it yourself.
Health care needs to be a social service, not a profit corporate machine as it is now. I would like to see insurance companies out of the equation, they are the richest corporations in the US!!!
